The only method available for repairing the cracks in the poured concrete wall is by injection method. You need to inject a basic wall crack by using an epoxy or even urethane resin. This can be done by pressure pushing the material starting from inside and making its way to outside. This injection process will help to fill all the cracks starting from the top to the bottom and also from inside part to the outside part. This method of repair will efficiently stop the water intrusion and save your poured concrete wall from damage. If you are thinking about trying the old method of repairing poured concrete wall of V-ing out crack from the outside or inside part and then patching it by water plug or hydraulic cement is not going to work here. Foundations are meant for movement and as water plug and hydraulic cement is lacking the capacity of combat the future movement, it will create cracks and it will also result in foundation wall crack to fail. Epoxy injection as a measure of repairing poured concrete wall can be taken as structural repairs and it will also weld the foundation altogether when it is done appropriately. This measure of urethane injection will help to stop the flow of water but they are not basically the structural fixes. This method is anyhow flexible and it can easily combat any movement in the foundation. All those new cracks which are given adequate time of 1 to 2 years for settling is great for epoxy injection. Epoxy is just like the welding or gluing your foundation to make it together. For doing so, it needs a clean big crack to be successful. Hence a big crack of long time in poured concrete wall can be repaired easily with epoxy. For those homes which are old and the cracks of who are repaired in the previous years also have slit and dirt built in them. To repair poured concrete wall of old homes, you can try urethane injection as it will be more effective method for stopping the water.

There is no creation of chemical bond when there is pouring of new concrete is done against old concrete. Cold joist is the spot where you put addition on your home and the water starts leaking from there. After the time period of 1 or 2 passes of this addition, the perfect repair to stop this water which is coming through this cold joint is urethane injection.

  • Repairing of snap ties

Tie rods and metal snap ties are used most probably to hold up the foundation forms in its place when it is being poured. When this forms are removed, those snap ties which are placed on the outside part are coated with hydraulic cement or flexible polymer before water proofing membrane or damp proofing is installed over the foundation. Chances are there of leaking of these snap ties over some period of time if the preparation is not done appropriately. By applying some pressure, try injecting a snap tie from the inside part by using a urethane resin is not going to stop the water from leakage.

  • Repair the pipe penetrations

While the construction of home is going on foundation holes are cored for allowing the water, sewer, well and electrical conduits to penetrate properly through the foundation. Say for example the sewer line is of the size of 4 inches and the cord is of 5 inches hence leaving the extra gap for the water to penetrate and damage. This extra space must be filled with the hydraulic cement. Inadequate preparation can cause pipe penetration which can also lead to water intrusion. You can inject a urethane resin to stop the pipe penetration which can expand its volume up to 20x and hence filling up the extra space. It should be used from both inside part and outside part.
