Mix a 1/4th cup of baking soda or three teaspoons of borax with half a cup of white vinegar. But remember that bleach should not be used or mixed with any other liquid except for water.

Sprinkle some quantity of salt directly on the area affected by rust. Then, squeeze a lemon over the spot unless and until it is well soaked. Leave and let the mixture rest say for three or four minutes, and scrub off the residue with the piece of the lemon rind.
