Solar water pumps make use of solar energy to conserve energy and save money.
1. Using the mounting screws provided, secure the water pump into position. The positive red wire and the negative black wire are connected to the positive and negative pump terminals on the pump control unit.
2. The positive and negative battery terminals are connected to the positive and negative power terminals on the control unit in case of 12-volt pump. In case of 24-volt pump, two 12-volt batteries are required and they should be connected in series to give a 24-volt output. This setup is responsible for the supply of power to the control unit and pump.
3. After mounting the solar panel and power controller into position, the positive and negative terminals of the solar panel are connected to the positive and negative terminals of the power controller. By connecting the positive and negative power output of the controller to the positive and negative terminal of the batteries the output from the power controller is routed to the batteries.
